Earth Science Fair

As part of National Earth Science Week, the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences in conjunction with the Frank H. McClung Museum at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) will host the 9th Annual Earth Science Fair for elementary, middle, high school and home schooled students, teachers, and parents on:

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2009

Middle and high school students from across East Tennessee are invited to help celebrate the earth sciences by participating in this valuable learning experience. Volunteer students, faculty, and staff from sponsoring organizations will provide displays, demonstrations, and hands-on activities that will increase students' understanding of the impact of earth-related processes on their daily lives.

Science Fair   Science Fair

Topics include: Gold Panning, Journey to the Moon, Minerals in Everyday Life, the Physics of Magnetism, a Climb Through Time and much more.

Events take place at the Earth and Planetary Sciences Building and at the Frank H. McClung Museum on the University of Tennessee's Knoxville campus.
